Now I’ve Seen Everything: Blog Spam Edition

Guess Who's Gonna Survive the Zombie Apocalypse

Starting a new series here (Now I’ve Seen Everything) and any of my fellow BVCers who would like, are free to chime in with their own additions to the series.

On one of my Book View Café blog posts, I received this informative bit of spam commentary. Normally, I delete these little spamlets without reading, because they’re so recognizable for Obvious Reasons. This one… Well, I’m bloody glad I read it before deleting.

Here it is in all of its glory(?):

I am not saying your information isn’t solid, but hat if you added something tto possibly get a person’s attention? I mean “Confessions oof a Ghost (Writer): Zombie Apocalypse” is kinda plain. You should peek at Yahoo’s front page and seee how they create post headlines to get people to click. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to get readers excited aout everything’ve goot to say. In myy opinion, itt might briong yoiur blog a little livelier.

Zombie Apocalypse. Kinda plain.

As Selma Hacker of Night Court fame was wont to say: I laughed. I cried. It became part of me.

For the record, there were three “pics” with the article. The featured image, which is the same one I used for this article.

This iconic reminder from Loki Odinson that I really should be justifying my presence on Book View Cafe:

Loki on Writing

And one of my Analog magazine covers for the serialized novella “Squatter’s Rights” which features ALIENS.

Cover Analog MagazineYeah, kinda plain.

There are days when spam delights more than it annoys. 🙂

oOo

Please check out my BVC bookshelf and do look for THE ANTIQUITIES HUNTER online or at a bookstore near you. It’s available in hardback, trade paper and eBook.

  1. I envy you that bit of blog spam. I would offer something of my own, but none of my blog entries have attracted anything as Bizarro-world as you were blessed with.
