BVC authors are among Lady Trent’s Friends of Nepal

For many of us, this time of year is associated with generosity: gifts, hospitality, and giving to charity.

In keeping with that, I am running a fundraiser: Lady Trent’s Friends of Nepal, which is part of Patrick Rothfuss’ larger Worldbuilders enterprise, and whose proceeds are donated to Heifer International‘s Nepal programs. (See my post here for details on why I chose Nepal, and what Lady Trent has to do with all of this.)

Joining me in this are several BVC authors, including Mindy Klasky, Vonda N. McIntyre, and Linda Nagata, plus others not belonging to this co-op. We’ve put a variety of signed books on sale, for those of you who wish to get a specific item; you can also just donate directly, which gets you “tickets” for the lottery of prize drawings at the end. There’s a huge amount of stuff up for grabs, not only from us, but from all of Rothfuss’ supporters!

And if you don’t see anything just yet that grabs your fancy, check back later! Depending on the whims of the shipping gods, we will be adding more items to the sale as they arrive at the Worldbuilders office. But of course some things have already sold out, so don’t wait too long . . . .

About Marie Brennan

Marie Brennan is a former anthropologist and folklorist who shamelessly pillages her academic fields for inspiration. She recently misapplied her professors' hard work to the short novel Driftwood and Turning Darkness Into Light, a sequel to the Hugo Award-nominated Victorian adventure series The Memoirs of Lady Trent. She is the author of several other series, over sixty short stories, and the New Worlds series of worldbuilding guides; as half of M.A. Carrick, she has written The Mask of Mirrors, first in the Rook and Rose trilogy.
