Sarah at RT – The Overdue Post

Sorry!  It’s been something of a whirlwind here.

I’ve got to say, a lot of Romantic Times would be very familiar to the habitual SF con goer.  The panels are all called workshops, and there are way more women, but otherwise…lots of hallway discussions, lots of funky and interesting clothing and costuming, lots of people talking in their own jargon, lots of mundanes who want to know what the HECK is going on here.

The big event Wednesday was the Intergalactic Bar & Grill, which was put on by the SF writers who come to RT.  It is a well-attended shin-dig, as you can tell by the line up:

There was a fine suite of writers hosting the event, including Catherine Asaro, Linnea Sinclair and Jade Lee.  For those who wonder how much cross-over there is between SF and Romance, I offer the following photo as evidence that it is in fact pretty strong:

BTW, that’s a balloon-animal Marvin the Martian she’s holding, and it’s mine now.

But then, you can get hold of all sorts of interesting things at this gathering:

Got to go to erotica workshop now (Oh STOP it, you know what I mean!).  Will post about my fantasy writing workshop (I said STOP IT) and the fairy ball later.
