Hello, all! I’m Marie Brennan, the newest member of Book View Cafe. In the weeks to come, you’ll be seeing more of me around here; I’m looking forward to joining my fellow BVC bloggers as a regular part of the schedule.

But before I settle into a normal blogging routine, I have something else planned. Starting today, and continuing every weekday through September 17th, I’ll be posting “Welcome to Welton,” a series of prequel scenes for my BVC debut novel. This isn’t a sample from the book itself: it’s an extra, an appetizer, a bit of background on the world and the characters. If you like what you read, the main course will arrive on the 18th. (Just in time for my husband’s birthday! I hope he doesn’t mind sharing that celebration with another one . . . .)
