We are pleased as punch to announce that Chris Dolley‘s Shadow Conspiracy II story—”What Ho! Automaton“—is a finalist for the Washington Science Fiction Association Small Press Award for Short Fiction. The official announcement of the award winner will be made at an award ceremony on October 13th at the annual WSFA convention, Capclave (www.capclave.org).
Conga-rats to Chris and “Go Us!” This will be our first certificate of award nomination as a publisher.

Congratulations to everyone involved and especially to the author! I am sure this is just a shadow of things to come ^^
Thank you. I can confidently say that without Book View Cafe this story would not have come about. It was only because I was searching for a steampunk story to submit to SC II that I eventually hit upon the idea of Wodehouse steampunk.
Serendipity in action ^^
Authors, self publishers and book publishers often spend a lot of time thinking over possible titles for an upcoming book they plan to publish and rightly so. There are some basic considerations to keep in mind when choosing a title, assuming you’re publishing a non-fiction book.
